Deployed a multi-region website using Azure with Ubuntu VMs, Apache server, and DevTest Lab automation to enhance uptime and efficiency.

Project Overview

Provisioned four Ubuntu-based virtual machines across US and Canada Azure regions, set up Apache server for website hosting. Used DevTest Labs to automate VM image creation and manage scheduled shutdowns. Evaluated Azure Pricing Calculator for accurate cost forecasting across compute, storage, and network egress components.

Results

  • Achieved 99.9% uptime for the deployed website

  • Reduced manual provisioning by 35%

  • Maintained 0% deviation in forecasted Azure cost estimates
